FAQ

Registration

Registration stations will be available at the Jahnallee campus and at the Augusteum.

If possible, please have your ticket (also digitally on any device) ready to be scanned at the registration station. Otherwise, a manual check-in is also possible.

On-site registration is possible, but the registration fee must be paid in cash. Participants who register on-site will not have access to the online portal.

Your conference badge is the sole credential for access to all panels and special events. Please wear it visibly at all times. If you lose your badge, please go to a registration desk at the Augusteum (Wednesday only) or Campus Jahnallee (Wednesday-Saturday).

On your last day, please return the plastic badge to help us support sustainability. Thank you!

The invoice will be sent automatically. However, you can contact the CISH Committee via the official email: cish2025@uni-leipzig.de if an edited version is needed.

Refunds must be requested by email (cish2025@uni-leipzig.de) by September 15th. Refunds can only be issued in the event that you are not able to attend the entire conference.

English and French are the official languages for CISH; however, English is the working language. The conference will be conducted mainly in English and partly in French, depending on the topic. Conference staff speak primarily English and/or German. On-site offers no other language support equipment for the panels.

A cloakroom and luggage storage are available at the Paulinum for the opening and closing events. Limited cloakroom space is available for small items at Campus Jahnallee.

Conference Logistics

Accessible restrooms, elevators, and ramped building entrances are available throughout the venue. If you have any questions regarding specific accessibility needs, please contact or speak to a member of our staff.

The coffee stand will be located in the North Foyer of House 1. Time slots for coffee breaks can be found in the conference program.

A map is available in the printed conference programme, and a PDF version is available here.

Eduroam and Eduopen connections are available across the Campus Jahnallee/ Campus Augustplatz. Instructions for connecting to the WiFi will be provided at the registration desk.

Lunch tickets for both Thursday and Friday should be collected during registration on Wednesday. The menu will be posted at the registration desk (vegan and vegetarian options included). Lunch is only available on Thursday and Friday, and the Mensa (cafeteria) will be open from 11:00-14:00. The lunch ticket includes one meal and one drink. Due to the limited number of tickets, they will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you decide not to use your lunch ticket, please return it at the registration desk so we can offer it to another conference participant.

The conference rooms will be checked at the end of each day, and a lost and found will be maintained at the registration station. You may also email the CISH organizing team at cish2025@uni-leipzig.de to report a lost item. We cannot take any responsibility for items lost outside the conference location, but we will do our best to assist you when appropriate.

A staff member or volunteer will be present for every panel to assist as needed, and more advanced IT support can be provided on an on-call basis. Please be sure to upload your presentation to the online portal in advance to help us minimize technological challenges during your event.

Most hybrid sessions are available after logging into the conference portal. Go to the Online Sessions page and scroll down to see an overview of all upcoming hybrid sessions. Your own or bookmarked sessions are highlighted at the top under “Next Online Session.”To join a session:

  1. Find the session you would like to attend. Click “Join” to open the Zoom meeting directly. Alternatively, click the ⓘ info button to view the Zoom Meeting ID and password. Once you have joined the Zoom meeting, select your panel from the available Breakout Rooms.
You can filter the session overview by conference theme to find your panel more quickly.

For each Parallel Panels Slot, there is one central Zoom meeting covering all hybrid panels taking place during that slot.

After joining the Zoom meeting, you will see Breakout Rooms for the individual hybrid panels. Simply select the Breakout Room with the name of the panel you would like to attend and join it.

If you would like to switch to another hybrid panel during the same slot, you can leave your current Breakout Room and join another available room.

Public Transport in Leipzig

Simply present your conference badge and a valid, internationally accepted ID (e.g passport) to the fare control staff upon a ticket check.

Tickets for Leipzig public transportation can be purchased at ticket machines at most tram/S-bahn stops and onboard most trams (card payment only). Please note that these tickets must also be validated in the separate validator machine after purchase. Digital tickets are available in the Leipzig Move app and do not require additional validation. Please carry your ID with you whenever you are using public transportation.

Walking from the Campus Jahnallee to the city centre is possible, but takes approximately 30-40 minutes. We recommend taking the tram. There is also no parking available on campus for conference participants, unfortunately.

The nearest tram stops are Sportforum Süd (located in front of the campus on Jahnallee- the most convenient stop) and Marschnerstraße (located at the corner of Marschnerstraße and Käthe-Kollwitz Straße).

From tram stop Sportforum Süd, the following lines will take you to:

  • Augusteum/Paulinum: lines 3 (Taucha), 7 (Sommerfeld), and 8 (Paunsdorf Nord) to Augustusplatz
  • Grassi Museum: lines 3 (Taucha), 7 (Sommerfeld), and 8 (Paunsdorf Nord) to Augustusplatz, then walk 7 mins to the museum
  • City Centre: lines 3 (Taucha), 7 (Sommerfeld), and 8 (Paunsdorf Nord) to Augustusplatz
