Important Notice: Beware of Fraudulent Accommodation and Travel Emails

Published

We have been made aware that fraudulent emails are currently being sent to participants of international academic conferences, including attendees of the upcoming CISH Centennial Conference 2026 in Leipzig.

These emails falsely claim to represent official travel, accommodation, or event management partners and attempt to obtain personal information, booking details, or payments from conference participants.

The scam messages are being sent from various email addresses associated with so-called “Global Travel Experts” and related organizations, including but not limited to:

  • rooms@conferencesmanagement.org
  • support@g-travelexperts.com
  • support@gtravelhosting.com
  • operation@gtravelservice.com
  • info@globaltravelexperts.com
  • reservation@g-travelexperts.com
  • reservation@gtravelhost.com
  • planning@gtravelhosting.com
  • reservations@gtravelhosting.com
  • bookings@gtravelservices.com
  • support@gtravelmanagement.com

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and additional sender addresses may be used.

Important Information

The CISH Centennial Conference Organising Committee does not work with Global Travel Experts or any of the organizations listed above. Any email received from these senders regarding hotel bookings, travel arrangements, attendee lists, or conference services should be treated as suspicious.

Official conference communications will only be sent through recognised CISH and Local Organising Committee channels.

What to Do

If you receive such an email:

  • Do not reply.
  • Do not provide any personal or financial information.
  • Do not click on links or download attachments.
  • Report the message as phishing or spam.
  • Block the sender.
  • Delete the email.

If you are unsure whether a message is legitimate, please contact the CISH 2026 Organising Committee (cish2025@uni-leipzig.de) directly before taking any action.
